3. This is a sermonic book. Therefore in a sermon the speaker has to go on what the people profess.
4. 3:1—he addresses the true brothers. But 3:12, and 3:14 imply that there are some who profess Christ yet are not true believers.
5. LOOK: The hardest people to bring to Christianity are those who have “already tried it.” That’s right! They have tasted, but they didn’t like it, and they rejected it.
6. How are Christians kept from apostacy? Other Christians!
